Segerstrom Center: ON YOUR FEET! Broadway Musical

Broadway musical, ON YOUR FEET!, is based on the life story of seven-time Grammy winning international superstar Gloria Estefan and her husband, Emilio Estefan, 19-time Grammy winning-producer-musician-entrepreneur. It’s a snapshot into Gloria’s passion for music during her youth and how Gloria and Emilio’s romance flourished from it. It showcases their struggles to live the American dream as Latin music performers, but with much perseverance their music group, Miami Sound Machine, climbed the music charts and gained international fame. The musical reflects on Gloria’s hardship with her mother and how they rekindle because of Gloria’s tragic accident– that nearly left her paralyzed.

SHOW REVIEW:

(We attended as media. All opinions are our own.)
ON YOUR FEET! starts with an explosive play of Miami Sound Machine’s hit, “Conga” giving the audience a taste of a high energy musical to come. The Latin dancing throughout the musical leaves the audience with wanting to be “On Your Feet!” The musical keeps you grooving along to their greatest hits. It was such a high energy show, and we enjoyed it a lot!
