Last weekend, we had a “whale of a time” with Dana Wharf Whale Watching from Dana Point, California. Our family was invited to join an excursion and share our experience. Whale Watching is year-round and fun for the whole family! Right now there are Gray Whale migration in the winter, and in the summer there are Blue Whales. Although we never know what we will encounter on the waters, there’s always an adventure that’s waiting to be explored. That day we cheered as we spotted two pairs of Gray Whales (a couple and a mom and calf) which surfaced several times. We saw numerous fluking (when a whale raises its … READ MORE
There are a few things we want to experience every year during the holidays in SoCal and The Queen Mary’s CHILL is definitely on that list! It’s hard not to feel the Christmas spirit while we’re freezing at North Pole temperatures in the ICE KINGDOM, ice tubing at Glacier Glide, ice skating in front of the Queen Mary, listening to festive holiday carolers, strolling down Blizzard Boulevard, a visit to Claus Cabin and a giant Gingerbread House and more! This year the tickets include activities like ice skating, ice tubing, and access to the Queen Mary. Ice Skating Here’s my first tip: As soon as you get there, get a … READ MORE
This year, we wanted to gift our son an experience so we celebrated his 5th birthday with a LEGOLAND Adventure. Did you know that LEGOLAND Hotel guests receive a 30 minute head start into the amusement park? This is especially important if you plan to maximize your day and beat the crowds. Because we were staying only one night, we decided to drive down early Saturday morning to make it in time for early park access.
We received tickets to this event. All opinions are my own. WALKING WITH DINOSAURS THE ARENA SPECTACULAR stomped into Honda Center on Wednesday, September 3rd with life-like creatures reenacting the days when they roamed the Earth. Narrated by a Paleontologist, he took us back 65 million years. If you’re wondering whether your kids will enjoy this production, read on. Dino-enthusiasts, you will not be disappointed. It was easy to follow for all ages. Our narrator not only introduced the animals, he highlighted their strengths as well as their weaknesses. He had our full attention. It was educational with surprise elements. We didn’t expect to hear about the importance of insects to flowers, … READ MORE

Last week we went to a media preview of the Re-Opening of Camp Snoopy and Calico Mine Ride as well as previewing the new Boom Town Show and Snoopy Unleashed ice show at Knott’s Berry Farm. It was a jammed packed morning, and we were excited to be there to see it all! The morning started off with a breakfast buffet in Grizzly Creek Lodge. Did you know they make Boysenberry Cronuts? They are moist and simply amazing. I need to find out if they have them in the Knott’s Bakery. In the newly renovated Camp Snoopy there are three new rides. We like that adults can ride too! On Linus Launcher, … READ MORE

Most recently the KNOTT’S HOTEL in Buena Park renovated. The hotel is literally down the street from us so why would we stay here? Because… Two parks in two days! When you’re busy having fun all day, the last thing you want to do is get in a car and sit in traffic. Everyone is super tired and a long car ride can be a drag especially for the driver. Sometimes, it’s nice to just go up to a hotel room and relax before going back out a second day. The rooms were comfy with modern furniture, and because of the heat wave last week, we looked forward to lounging poolside. The … READ MORE
