Last week we went to a media preview of the Re-Opening of Camp Snoopy and Calico Mine Ride as well as previewing the new Boom Town Show and Snoopy Unleashed ice show at Knott’s Berry Farm. It was a jammed packed morning, and we were excited to be there to see it all! The morning started off with a breakfast buffet in Grizzly Creek Lodge. Did you know they make Boysenberry Cronuts? They are moist and simply amazing. I need to find out if they have them in the Knott’s Bakery. In the newly renovated Camp Snoopy there are three new rides. We like that adults can ride too! On Linus Launcher, … READ MORE >>

Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel Staycation Two Parks in Two Days!

Most recently the KNOTT’S HOTEL in Buena Park renovated. The hotel is literally down the street from us so why would we stay here? Because… Two parks in two days! When you’re busy having fun all day, the last thing you want to do is get in a car and sit in traffic. Everyone is super tired and a long car ride can be a drag especially for the driver. Sometimes, it’s nice to just go up to a hotel room and relax before going back out a second day. The rooms were comfy with modern furniture, and because of the heat wave last week, we looked forward to lounging poolside. The … READ MORE >>

Walking With Dinosaurs Arena Spectacular Downloadable Activity Sheets

On Mother’s Day this year, we took our boys to Discovery Science Center to meet a life-sized Baby T-Rex from Walking With Dinosaurs – The Arena Spectacular. While we waited for the presentation to begin, the kids enjoyed running around the Prehistoric Plaza located toward the back of the center where they explored fossil digs. At Dino Quest: Kids can go on a fun and educational scavenger hunt at Discovery Cube Orange County. Jere Lipps, Director of the John D. Cooper Archaeological and Paleontological Center, came out to introduce himself. We learned that there were not too many Orange County dinosaurs, but there were findings. We’re about to see a … READ MORE >>

Family Day: Arcades and Go Kart Racing at Boomers! Irvine

For one of our Family Day adventures, we spent the afternoon at Boomers! Irvine in the arcade and go-kart racing. We couldn’t pass through the arcade without spending some time in here. Drivers of the double go-karts carrying a passenger must be at least 18 years old and 58″ tall.) Hint: The double riders are extremely popular. Expect to wait in … READ MORE >>

Greek Theatre: EEK at the Greek Halloween Event

Halloween is a big month for us. We all over the place, and we loved experiencing every bit of it. As we bid adieu and head into the next holiday season, I’d like to share with you one last Halloween coverage of Eek at the Greek (and a sneak peak inside the VIP Lounge at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles). Families were able to dress up and enjoy activities like costume contests (winners were announced during intermission), cupcake decorating, crafts, treat stations (I didn’t see that many), and photo ops. After the family-friendly activities, we enjoyed a live performance of ghoulish themed hits at the outdoor theater.   Inside the … READ MORE >>

Reptile Zoo Orange County

Last week, we had a play date at The Reptile Zoo. Once we got inside, the kids all gathered around a pond and wanted to feed the animals. For $3.25, you can choose between worms to feed the animals in the pond or a bag of veggies to feed the tortoises. I let my kids decide, and both chose the animals in the pond. You can see a picture of them picking them up with tongs and the animals swimming up to them. You can also feed lettuce to tortoises. Shortly after, we attended an hour presentation in the private Congo Room where Aaron showed us the various animals that … READ MORE >>
