Where to Eat

If you're looking for ideas where to take the family for lunch or dinner, here are some family-friendly places I have tried.

New Paris Baguette Location Now Open in Aliso Viejo!

Specializing in French-inspired goods, PARIS BAGUETTE opened their 55th U.S. store last month in Aliso Viejo, and we got checked it out during their Grand Opening and ribbon cutting ceremony with local city officials. They are located in the Aliso Viejo Town Center and it is also their first store in South Orange County. It has modern decor with outdoor seating. It is one of the nicest one I have been to. This is how you order – grab tongs and fill up a tray with pastries, then head over to the counter to order signature coffee, drinks, cakes, sandwiches, or salads. Everything I tried was delicious. There are 10 macarons variety at Paris Baguette Aliso Viejo. Perfect for any occasion, they have pretty gift set boxes for 4 or 8. They also carry options that are vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free. Today, there are more than 2,700 locations worldwide and they began franchising last year. For more information, please visit their website at www.ParisBaguette.com.

Mother’s Day 3-Course Menu at Mimi’s Cafe

Mother’s Day in America is tomorrow – Sunday, May 14th, and most Moms want to celebrate with their loved ones, but they don’t want to slave in the kitchen all day. Give Moms the day off. If you’re looking for a family-friendly option, MIMI’S CAFE offers French-inspired American comfort food. They not only want to celebrate like they do in France with a 3-Course Menu and Complimentary Raspberry Brown Butter Seasonal bread, but they want to celebrate Moms twice, because after dining on Mother’s Day, guests are invited back for Fête des Meres (Mother’s Day in France, May 28th) for a free entree. They’re also giving Moms a special gift from MIMI’S, a wildflower seed card that is ready for planting. After the flowers bloom, Mom will remember the time she spent with family and friends at MIMI’S. They open at 7 AM and will serve brunch until 1 PM, and their 3-Course Mother’s Day menu starts at 11 AM. Here is a sneak peek of their 3 Course Menu. (They are also accepting reservations).
