If you're looking for ideas where to take the family for lunch or dinner, here are some family-friendly places I have tried.

3 Easy Dinners with New Foster Farms Baked Never Fried Chicken + Giveaway! #FFBakedisBetter

Planning weekly meals for the family is often challenging for me, because I only want to make one grocery run for the week, and I can’t spend too much time putting it together so if I am missing an ingredient for the recipe, I have to find a new one. Foster Farms has new product called BAKED that are in the frozen section at Albertson’s or Vons. They come in 1.5 lb bags and you can always have them as a back up or if you need to make quick meals. I was up for the challenge and ended up making three simple meals that are so easy. If I can do it, anyone can do it.

New MIGUEL’S JR Opens in Redlands + Giveaway! #MiguelsJr

MIGUEL’S JR. is opening their 16th location in Redlands, California this week in the Mount Grove Shopping Center. I got a sneak peek of their new 3,000 square foot establishment and it is quite modern and nice. It is in a great location and the staff members are eager to serve the Redlands community with a tasty menu with family recipes. It might make a great stop for savory breakfast burritos on the way to Big Bear or a quick dinner coming back. It is also down the street from Splash Kingdom Waterpark, and since it’s in a shopping center, here’s another option for a quick bite to eat.

Jimmy’s Famous American Tavern aka J-FAT Menu Options

If you are feeling really hungry and looking for somewhere to fill the bellies of your family, Jimmy’s Famous American Tavern (also known as J-FAT), have dishes you can share, and they even have a Large Plate section on their menu. A few months ago we went to a menu tasting in Dana Point, but they have locations in Brea, San Diego, Woodland Hills, and a new one in Santa Monica. The food was as good as it looks. Here are some dishes I got to try.

Stonefire Grill Has a Stimulus Package Deal on Their Secret Menu

We stopped in recently to try out some of Stonefire Grill’s latest offerings. It was casual family-friendly dining but they also have catering and takeout so you”ll want to call ahead if you want to save time. They have options that will satisfy the whole family like pizza, ribs, tri tip, sandwiches, pasta, soups and salads. I like that you can buy a whole chicken or family sized portions as well as get it in petite sizes if you are not super hungry. Our favorites are the lemon chicken or salmon, bbq tri tip, baked rigatoni with meat sauce (my kids love it). Did you know that there is a STIMULUS PACKAGE on their secret menu? It is a pretty good value. For Dine In or Takeout, you can select half tri tip or whole chicken, a small salad, 12″ two topping pizza, and 8 yummy breadsticks for $29.99. It was a lot of food for a small family of 4.

5 Things to Try at Northgate Market Newest Store in La Habra!

Northgate Gonzalez Market’s newest flagship store in the City of La Habra had their grand opening this week. If you were among the first 300 customers in line, you would have scored a goodie bag. The line wrapped around the parking lot and into the residential street. I had a hard time finding parking, but it was exciting to see and be a part of. I toured the new flagship store with Lizette Gonzalez, Marketing Project Manager and granddaughter to the original founder. This store has everything and it is beautiful! Northgate Gonzalez Market is family-owned and operated. It has served the La Habra community for more than 30 years, and this is where they all grew up. Their market provide hundreds of authentic hot and cold food options available for convenience to grab-and-go and made-to-order.
