Knotts Berry Farm Boysenberry Festival Elote

Knott’s Berry Farm Boysenberry Festival Tasting Card Deal 8 for $30!

It’s that time of year again where we can all say, “Yay!” to All Things Boysenberry! Lucky for us, we don’t have to go far, because it’s celebrated right here in Orange County where it became famous. The boysenberry is a cross between a loganberry, red raspberry and blackberry and is named after its originator Rudolf Boysen. Back then Knott’s Berry Farm was a working farm, and the Knott family were the first to successfully harvest and sell the berry. Papps Seafood San Pedro Lobser Mac Cheese

Pappy’s Seafood Restaurant in Historical Downtown San Pedro

Pappy’s Seafood recently opened up in San Pedro. You might know their sister restaurant, The Albright, which is located on the Santa Monica Pier.  We visited about a month ago for a menu tasting, and the best way I can describe it is – they’re a full service fish-and-chips place but better! Pappy’s includes sustainable and local seafood, sourced fresh from the Port of Los Angeles. You’ll find dishes like tacos with scratch-made tortillas, fish plates, salads, appetizers like lobster mac and cheese (yummy) and a shrimp cake slider. They also have sandwiches like lobster roll (my favorite!), shrimp po’ boy, tuna melts, and burgers. They even have a kid’s menu. … READ MORE >>
