ZOO LIGHTS are back for the holidays lighting up the nights at the Los Angeles Zoo with thousands of LED lights, a disco ball forest, glittering twinkle tunnel, 3D animated projections and more! It won USA Today‘s “10 Best Zoo Lights” honors in 2015 and 2016 – and was nominated again for 2017. New this year is a dynamic, musical holiday tree experience, a re-imagined water show, a glittering “North Pole” setting for Santa photos (available on select nights), glowing “Northern Lights” featuring animal constellations that come to life, and an all-new “Wild Wonderland” finale spotlighting endangered and vulnerable species.

It was a very cool experience at the LA Zoo this year. My favorites were the Disco Forest and the Twinkle Tunnel. It had a bit of a wait though. I’ll give you a hot tip. Buy the 6 o’clock, get there around 7, and by pass the 8 o’clock line! If you have anything that lights up, wear it! Parts of the park is dark, and when it gets crowded, you’ll want to be able to find the children, and you will want them to find you.
