New MIGUEL’S JR Opens in Redlands + Giveaway! #MiguelsJr

This is a sponsored post.

MIGUEL’S JR. is opening their 16th location in Redlands, California this week in the Mount Grove Shopping Center. I got a sneak peek of their new 3,000 square foot establishment and it is quite modern and nice. It is in a great location and the staff members are eager to serve the Redlands community with a tasty menu with family recipes. It might make a great stop for savory breakfast burritos on the way to Big Bear or a quick dinner coming back. It is also down the street from Splash Kingdom Waterpark, and since it’s in a shopping center, here’s another option for a quick bite to eat.

MIGUEL’S JR. was a fast-food concept two miles from their original Miguel’s Restaurant in Corona that was an immediate success in 1975. They only use premium ingredients like fresh Haas avocados, all-natural and hormone free poultry, pasture raised, midwest corn fed beef, 100% stone ground tortillas and preservative free tortilla chips, farm fresh cracked eggs, as well as made fresh daily salsa and hot sauce. They now have restaurants throughout the Inland Empire and Orange County offering traditional home-style burritos, tacos, quesadillas, nachos, tostadas, taquitos, guacamole and other traditional recipes inspired by the Vasquez family and named after Mike’s grandfather, Miguel.

Fun Fact

The Redlands location features an original mural on the exterior by Southern California artist, Dave Avanzino. This is his fourth mural in partnership with Miguel’s Jr. Each mural is a tribute to the city it resides as well as symbolizes the fresh farm ingredients used in the family recipes.

“The art is based on the design of old fruit crate labels which feature farm fields, mountains, fruits and vegetables, along with city-specific historic architecture. It’s quite a thrill to drive down the street and see my art displayed in such a larger-than-life way.” – Artist Dave Avanzino

My Favorites

We got to taste various items like their Carne Asada Tacos, Sunrise Breakfast Burritos, Taco Salad, and Breakfast Plates. I usually go for their GREEN PIG which is a house favorite that includes marinated pork, eggs, cheddar cheese & chile verde marinated potatoes (still good), but I have two new favorites – The MACHACA (shredded beef seasoned with tomatoes, bell peppers and onions, eggs, and refried beans) AND their CALIFORNIA CHILE BURRITO which includes a stuffed Chile Relleno!

New Beverages!

The Redlands location will be among the first to serve Miguel’s Jr.’s delicious new fresh squeezed, all-natural lemonade and house-made horchata with 100% all natural pure cane sugar. (They are so good!) They also added Vitamin Water and Powerade to their fountain drink options.

The restaurant will be open Sunday-Thursday 7am-10pm and Friday-Saturday 7am-10:30pm. For more information or to find a location near you, please visit their website at www.miguelsjr.com.
