Written in collaboration with Disneyland. All opinions are my own. LUNAR NEW YEAR is one of the most celebrated holidays among Asian cultures. Each country will observe it slightly different, but they all commemorate with loved ones to wish each other good fortune and prosperity for the new year. I love that Disneyland Resort designates an area of Disney California Adventure Park for about three weeks (Jan. 17 through Feb. 9, 2020) so everyone who’s in the park can join in on the festivities with their family and friends. For Year of the Mouse this year, guests can experience Asian culture through carefully selected food, music, and entertainment. I love what Disneyland … READ MORE >>
Post written by me for Disneyland. All opinions are my own. The Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure celebrates its first year anniversary! With the opening of the new Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind ride on June 28th, the four neighborhoods (Incredibles Park, Toy Story Boardwalk, Pixar Promenade, and Inside Out Headquarters) are now complete. You’ll also find creative food and beverage selections throughout the pier. Pixar Pier’s Neighborhoods Incredibles Park – Inspired by Disney and Pixar’s “The Incredibles”, it also features The Incredicoaster, the fastest attraction at Disneyland Resort. Both parks at Disneyland Resort, Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, have made it hard to decide which park to celebrate the season because they are both decked out for the season! (In this post, I will only focus on Disney California Adventure, because there is a lot to cover.) This year Carthay Circle along Buena Vista Street features a 1920s-inspired holiday theme to emulate Los Angeles as it appeared when Walt Disney first moved to California. You will notice that surrounding buildings as well as the 50-foot Christmas Tree features vintage-style ornaments and decorations. For the first time, two Cars Land attractions have been transformed for the holidays – Luigi’s Rollickin’ … READ MORE >>
Oogie Boogie, the boogeyman from “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas”, has casted a spell over Disney California Adventure Park! For the very first time, Halloween Time at Disneyland is now celebrated at both parks! You’ll first notice Oogie Boogie at the main entrance. Did you hear what he said? …Watch out! Throughout the night, he will also unleash a swarm of bats. Want to see where they congregate? The bats are circling the tower of the Carthay Circle Theatre! Cars Land has completely transformed and all your favorite Cars characters are all dressed up in their “car-stumes” to celebrate ‘Haul-O-Ween’. It’s so much fun! Thrill seekers will try to embrace themselves but it won’t help in Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark. Scream all you want because you can’t get off until the ride is finished. Come hungry! There are several themed treats. I just love this time of year, don’t you? This year, a ticket to Mickey’s Halloween Party gets us into Disney California Adventure as well as Disneyland during the three hours prior to the beginning of the party in Disneyland Park. More details below!
If you are big fans of Marvel Avengers, head over to Disney California Adventure to “Hero Up” and experience a “Summer of Heroes”! There is a whole area dedicated to the mighty Super Heroes, and you will want to try it all – new ride, photo ops, dance off, Avengers Training and more! If you need a snack, munch on some Groot bread or stop in and try one of their other themed eats in Hollywood Land! Enjoy these experiences through September 10, 2017.
First things first, download the Disneyland App! It has everything you’ll need from park hours, wait times, GPS-enabled maps, locate restrooms, ride descriptions, access and share photos from the PhotoPass, locate characters, check restaurant menus from both parks including 3 Disneyland Resort hotels and Downtown Disney District, make or cancel reservations, check FASTPASS return times (subject to availability), and you can even purchase tickets right from the app which will save you time in line and are paperless! Wow, that’s a lot!
