Mikhailovsky Ballet and Orchestra from St. Petersburg, Russia bring the classic Spanish novel by Miguel de Cervantes “Don Quixote” to life! They will perform in Orange County at Segerstrom Center for the Arts starting November 9th through November 11th as part of the International Dance Series. “Don Quixote” is a ballet full of energy, romance, chivalry and comedy. REVIEW: Tour de Force III Dance Spectacular at Segerstrom Center #SCFTA

Segerstrom Center for the Arts kicked off their 30th Anniversary Celebration with the Tour de Force III Dance Spectacular. This program featured performances by the world’s most celebrated dancers and choreographers. It consisted of four repertories, showcasing artistic styles of ballet. Both of my daughters study ballet. Right around the time I learned about this performance, my daughter was preparing to audition for Nutcracker. When they learned about the opportunity to attend Tour de Force III, they were so excited to not only see professional ballet dancers perform, but to see some of the BEST ballet dancers in the world! One of the things I absolutely love to do is see a theatrical performance whether it be a Broadway Musical or see a ballet. It is a real treat for me. In Orange County, Segerstrom Center for the Arts has it all! They also have a Cabaret Series, a Chamber Music Series, a Family Series, and special events. Segerstrom Center: Mariinsky Ballet’s RAYMONDA

Russia’s Mariinsky Ballet, one of the world’s most important and historically rich dance companies, opens the Segerstrom’s 30th Season with RAYMONDA. Performing with the Mariinsky Orchestra, this will be the company’s eighth visit to the Center and the first time this masterpiece from the Golden Age of Russian classical ballet.  RAYMONDA has been called the “last grand ballet” of the 19th century.
