Mother’s Day in America is tomorrow – Sunday, May 14th, and most Moms want to celebrate with their loved ones, but they don’t want to slave in the kitchen all day. Give Moms the day off. If you’re looking for a family-friendly option, MIMI’S CAFE offers French-inspired American comfort food. They not only want to celebrate like they do in France with a 3-Course Menu and Complimentary Raspberry Brown Butter Seasonal bread, but they want to celebrate Moms twice, because after dining on Mother’s Day, guests are invited back for Fête des Meres (Mother’s Day in France, May 28th) for a free entree. They’re also giving Moms a special gift from MIMI’S, a wildflower seed card that is ready for planting. After the flowers bloom, Mom will remember the time she spent with family and friends at MIMI’S. They open at 7 AM and will serve brunch until 1 PM, and their 3-Course Mother’s Day menu starts at 11 AM. Here is a sneak peek of their 3 Course Menu. (They are also accepting reservations).
Most recently Mimi’s Cafe, the neighborhood French-inspired American comfort food cafe, ran a contest for guests to develop a new entree for their menu and the winner won a trip to France! The winner is an original recipe for Honey Lavender Pork Chop submitted by Michael Watz of Evanston, Illinois! Watz and his wife enjoyed a trip to France, where the Mimi’s parent company, Groupe Le Duff, is based. I went in to my local Mimi’s this week for a preview, and it was delicious! (I got my salad without the goat cheese).

It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Mimi’s Cafe® along with National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) teamed up to raise awareness and funds in their efforts to save lives through early detection and by providing mammograms. Two “Sparkling Pink” Drink Selections The other day some of my girlfriends got together for brunch to check out their new “pink” beverages as each “pink” drink will benefit the NBCF. We all chose the “Sparkling Pink Passion Mimosa.” (A non-alcoholic “pink” beverage is also available.) I love this time of year because they bring back “pumpkin” everything – latte, muffins, cheesecake, and of course pancakes. We shared a Chocolate Mousse Muffin – Yummmy Mimi’s … READ MORE >>
