Bikini Body After Tummy Tuck – Mommy Makeover Part 6

If you’re following my Mommy Makeover Journey with Cosmeticare in Newport Beach, it has now been about three months since my Lipoabdominoplasty procedure (aka liposuction + tummy tuck). Looking back I really cannot complain. The transformation has been amazingly smooth, I’m almost fully healed with areas still tender to touch, and I’ve already been back to my regular routine and working out. Did you see that I finally got into a bikini? It has been many years of hiding behind loose clothing! You can see my new body below! This was taken only seven weeks after surgery at my son’s birthday party… I KNOW! Isn’t it incredible?! I was a little shy at first but my friends and family have been very supportive. The reactions I get are mostly all positive, and some tell me I’m brave. Mostly people are blown away. It has been so long since I’ve worn anything like this, my old clothes don’t even fit right anymore. I just need to find bathing suits and undergarments that will hide the scar, but I am having fun with it.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage Therapy Q&A

If you’re following my Mommy Makeover Journey with Cosmeticare, I think I’m almost done with my Lymphatic Drainage Massage Therapy. During the Pre-Op appointment, I received a long checklist to take care of BEFORE and AFTER surgery including a recommendation to schedule weekly lymphatic massages one to two weeks POST surgery to help with the healing process. I have not heard of it before and didn’t know what to expect, but after I got the green light from my doctor, I proceeded with my first session with Amanda Westover. She lives in South County and will travel to your home if it is within 30 minutes of Rancho Santa Margarita. You will need a low traffic area where she can unfold her table and you will feel more comfortable. She also brings her own music and heated mat. When the kids were home, I needed to be in a quiet bedroom. When the children were in school, I liked being in the living room and it was perfectly calming. It was a one hour light massage, and I was totally relaxed. She was very careful with me and made sure she didn’t hurt me. When she got to my abdomen (where I was injured), it felt really strange, because I can feel her move water away from that area. I started to schedule her weekly (sometimes bi-weekly) but one week at a time and as needed. She was very pleasant and professional. I had a great experience with her. I know I had lots of questions about what this is so it might be easier to understand coming from Amanda. Please see our Q&A below!

My Body Contouring Abdominoplasty Journey – Part II Scheduling and Pre-Op

If you are following my abdominoplasty journey, my surgery date is this week, and is scheduled with Dr. Brian Reagan at Cosmeticare. They required a $500 deposit to secure the date. You can go in as many times as you need for free consultations, but when it starts getting serious and you want to lock down a date, they’ll ask for a deposit. The deposit is applied toward your balance, and it is refundable if you change your mind. You can understand that they want you fully committed and no last minute cancellations are acceptable. They have to schedule staff and book the facility, etc. Since I won’t be able to drive for two weeks, I had to schedule around my children’s school schedule. For us, summer time is best. My second option would be around the holidays. When you book your surgery, you will also need to make an appointment 1-2 weeks prior for Pre-Op (pre-operation) instructions. I recommend 2 weeks if possible. During those two weeks, I filled prescriptions and went shopping for this post-operation garment they recommended. They call it a muumuu with a zipper, and I found it at Kohls online as a zip-front robe. I also ran last minute errands, stocked up on groceries and needed down time to mentally prepare.
