This beloved Rodgers and Hammerstein musical did not disappoint and I appreciated the opportunity to discuss the backstory and climate in which The Sound of Music takes place with my daughter. It was so fun to see this musical through her eyes and the anticipation of what would happen in all the story lines. SOUND OF MUSIC Musical Coming to Segerstrom Center July 19-31st! #SCFTA

Segerstrom Center for the Arts July 19 thru 31st! Featuring music from Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, book by Howard Lindsay and Russell Crouse, this new production is directed by Jack O’Brien and choreographed by Daniel Mefford. It is starring Kerstin Anderson as Maria Rainer, who won the coveted role from hundreds who auditioned. This will be Ms. Anderson’s first national tour.
