Miramonte Indian Wells Resort & Spa

Visiting Palm Springs in the summer was hot but fun. We haven’t been to Palm Springs in a while but I remember it being hot and spending a lot of time by the pool. Nighttime swim is fun too. After a month of rushing around for the end of school year, I welcomed a few days lounging poolside. We stayed at Miramonte Resort in Indian Wells. It is conveniently located near shops and restaurants and in the heart of California’s Coachella Valley. It was not walking distance but everything was about a 5 to 10 minute drive. Poolside Service Cabanas are the way to go when you are spending a … READ MORE

Grasslands Meat Market Anaheim GardenWalk

If you are a hungry bunch, love to eat meat, and are near Disneyland/Anaheim area, GRASSLANDS Meat Market at the Anaheim GardenWalk is a full service restaurant, and they have a great selection of meats to satisfy everyone. We ordered the family dinner which came with 4 meat selections, 2 sides, and a tossed salad. We ordered the salmon, roasted chicken, and BBQ Shrimp. You can order a variety or double up on something you already know everyone will like. For example, we doubled up on the fish. Everything was quite tasty including the Brazilian Garlic Rice, and we were wondering if we had too much food. Not knowing how much food … READ MORE

GoRving Thousand Trails – Yosemite Lakes RV Resort

Post written by me for Go RVing and Thousand Trails. All opinions are my own. Right now my kids are enjoying their camping adventures. They think it’s really fun to stay in a tent, go fishing, play in the streams with other children, make bonfire s’mores and walk around with flashlights. We’ve only tried tent camping, and I have heard once you go RV’ing, you might not go back to tent camping. This year for Father’s Day Week we visited Yosemite National Park and had an opportunity to stay in one of the park model RVs at YOSEMITE LAKES RV RESORT which is a Thousand Trails destination. (Park model RVs … READ MORE

Knott’s Soak City Water Park Orange County

Knott’s Soak City Waterpark is Orange County’s largest outdoor water park with over 15-acres of fun. Last year they added two new water slide towers, Shore Break and The Wedge. They also added 2 acres during their expansion and renovation project. It added new shaded seating areas, spacious cabanas, and added a new remodeled Longboard’s Grill. Shore Break towers over seven stories high and offers six different water slide experiences. Four of the slides include Aqua Launch chambers which drops the floor from underneath then sends the riders on a vertical free fall through a series of loops and curves. Yikes! The new family raft ride, The Wedge, takes up … READ MORE

Las Brisas Laguna Beach New Patio Menu

Last week, my husband and I had a date night so we headed over to LAS BRISAS in Laguna Beach to try their new items on their patio menu. As they are located off Pacific Coast Hwy, they are very close to the beach. We were dining with an amazing view. It was hot and sunny that day, but the umbrellas were up giving us shade. As the sun started to set, they slowly took them down. Patio seating is first come first serve. As you can imagine, you might need to hang out a little to snag a table. There are also seating indoors, and a more formal dining area. It makes … READ MORE

Harbor Breeze Cruises Whale Watching + Aquarium of the Pacific

Whale Watching in Southern California can be enjoyed year round. Depending on the migrating season, we can spot them in the waters off the shores of California, however, it is most exciting when we can get as close as possible in their natural environment (by boat). In Orange County, we have several ports to choose from. What makes the one out of Long Beach uniquely different is that they have a partnership with the Aquarium of the Pacific. Not only are the crewmen at Harbor Breeze Cruises (HBC) experienced and professional, they have ocean experts from the Aquarium to help identify the sea animals. Plus their cruise boats are fairly new … READ MORE
