My MNO: Shopping, Happy Hour, and a Movie!

Spread the love

This month’s Mom’s Night Out for me was a shopping day, happy hour, and a movie with my girlfriends.

The Outlets at Orange (formally The Block of Orange) because they had 3 major department stores: Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH, Last Call Neiman Marcus, and Nordstrom Rack. Last Call Neiman Marcus had 40% off everything! You can find a directory of their stores here.

Happy Hour

Cafe Tu Tu Tango had happy hour drink prices on a Saturday! Can we say Half Off? My friends and I enjoyed dishes like shrimp skewers and chicken wings.

The Movie

It was the opening weekend of the last installment of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part II so I thought it was an obvious choice. AMC Orange 30 had showtimes every 30 minutes!

FYI-I was a little late following the saga but I’ve read all the books and seen all the movies. How could I not see the last one?!

I’m not going to be a spoiler, but all I can say is WOW, LOVE, and SADNESS.

  • WOW – because it was well written.
  • LOVE – because I LOVED how it ended, and
  • SADNESS – because it’s The End of an Era.
Costco locations sell these Gold AMC tickets – 2 for $16 (about $8 each). These have no restrictions for opening weekend. Take these and convert them to movie tickets before your movie. We saved about $4.50 per ticket at that location (they retailed for $12.50).

Summing It Up

Even though I love being a Mom, I absolutely love the time out with the Ladies. Next month, I’m headed to a friend’s Holiday Accessories Party. I’m waiting for the details, but you know I’ll tell you all about it.
