TRAVEL: French Market Place, Dining at Mr. B’s Bistro, and Best Pralines from Southern Candy Makers in New Orleans

Spread the love

Take a walk through America’s oldest city market – the French Market in New Orleans, Louisiana. It’s like a swap meet or flea market and you can get all your souvenirs for New Orleans here. They’re already a bargain, but don’t forget to negotiate.

Dining at Mr. B’s Bistro

For dinner, we had reservations at Mr. B’s Bistro. I asked them what they were famous for and they highly recommended the BBQ Shrimp. OMG Delish!

(Hint: There’s also a recipe below if you want to try it at home.)

MY ENTREE

MR. B’S BARBEQUED SHRIMP is Mr. B’s signature dish! Their Gulf shrimp is barbecued New Orleans style, served in the shells with their famous peppery butter
sauce, and French bread for dipping.

their website here! Enjoy!

DESSERT

Their BREAD PUDDING (a Brennan family recipe) is rich in eggs, cream and butter, and is served warm with Irish whiskey sauce. Oh Yumm.
