Over Father’s Day weekend, our family took a two hour drive out of OC to Indian Wells, California and checked-in to the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa. It was a little late in the evening so we couldn’t see much driving in, but we did get to enjoy a gorgeous view of the pool from our room.
With the warm desert air and heated pool (open nightly until 11 pm), we were tempted to go for a late night swim.
…Next morning, we woke up to this!
Btw, I have to show you something. Their pool has a kid-friendly beach! These spots fill up fast so you’ll have to get there early to snag a spot. Pool towels were provided by the resort. Floating devices were available for purchase.
We stayed in a standard room with double queen beds and a pool view, however, other views include mountain view, golf view, and resort view.
Here is a standard single which includes a chaise. We love the modern feel of the rooms and the spa toiletries they offered. AVEDA!!
Need extra space? They have them! (See below). These limited rooms come in both double queens and double kings.
DINING
The next morning we had brunch at CAVA Restaurant which is located in the resort. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We were excited that they offered juicers for their breakfast buffet!
At CAVA, they have both indoor and outdoor seating. Their outdoor seating has a beautiful view of the pool and the mountains.
CAVA offers a casual dining experience that’s family-friendly. Other dining options in the resort include SIROCCO (Italian), GLO SUSHI, CAFE BISCOTTI (offers Starbucks coffee, fresh-baked pastries, sandwiches, gelato, and snacks), THE POOL BAR (swim up bar that includes cocktails and poolside dining), and GLO LOUNGE.
INSIDER TIP: On our tour of the resort, they showed us this amazing space that used to be a nightclub, but now they rent it out for parties. It has spectacular views!
Their Local Navigator is like a concierge, but their navigators provide custom recommendations that are only unique to that local area.
Within walking distance, Golfers can visit the award-winning Indian Wells Golf Resort which includes stunning views and two 18-hole championship courses. (It was also featured in Golfweek‘s Top 20 “Best Courses You Can Play” in California).

We had a wonderful time staying at the Renaissance Esmeralda Indian Wells Resort and Spa. The staff was super friendly and helpful. There was something for the whole family – the Dads golfed in the early morning, the Moms had their time at the Spa, while the kids played in their beautiful pool.
