Happy St. Patrick’s Day! If you’re looking for a family-friendly way to celebrate, Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlour Restaurants offer an Irish-themed feast that will leave you and the family feeling lucky.
For example, Farrell’s Blarney Burger comes with a side of Irish Nachos. The surprisingly big-enough-to-share delicious burger includes a 1/2 lb. all-beef burger patty and is topped with corned beef, Tater Tots, made-from-scratch Guinness® cheese sauce, cabbage slaw, and a house-made horseradish mustard – all on a toasted onion bun. All the flavors just comes together and …. Mmmmmmm. Their Irish Nachos doesn’t disappoint either with french fries smothered in the Guinness® cheese sauce topped with bacon and green onions.
We couldn’t resist Farrell’s Pot O’ Cold Sundae for dessert which includes two-scoops of Mint Chip ice cream and one-scoop of Chocolate ice cream swirled with hot fudge, and topped with freshly-made green whipped cream, rainbow sprinkles, a cherry, and a thin mint girl scout cookie! You will need the luck of the Irish to finish it, because it was as big as Preston’s head!
Sampling the Irish-themed menu at Farrell’s was fun and a big hit with the kids. I want the kids to remember fun experiences like these so when they’re older they can say, “Hey remember that time when we used to go to Farrell’s as kids?” We also love how friendly and thoughtful the service is. For instance, when they took our order, they asked us if we wanted to order it the way it was pictured and if we were okay with having green onions on our fries. I like that they didn’t just assume that we liked green onions, and were flexible if we needed it modified.
TIPS: Make online reservations, because there’s always a large crowd waiting to get in! Note: the dining environment is loud because they’re singing and celebrating birthdays throughout the restaurant so if your child is sensitive to noise, bring noise cancelling headphones.
