The U.S. national tour of ANNIE is coming to Orange County at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts May 13-24, 2015. This iconic Tony Award-winning show, which is being directed for the 19th time by the show’s original director and lyricist Martin Charnin, remains one of the biggest Broadway musical hits ever. Who doesn’t belt out song’s from ANNIE’s beloved score – like “Tomorrow” and “Maybe” – at least once during the day? There’s a reason this amazing show ran for 2,377 performances when it first opened April 21, 1977 and has been running somewhere around the world for the last 37 years.

This brand new production features a 25-member company. Making her tour debut in the title role of Annie is nine-year-old Issie Swickle from Davie, Florida. The show also features Gilgamesh Tagget (Oliver Warbucks), Lynn Andrews (Miss Hannigan), Ashley Edler (Grace), Garrett Deagon (Rooster), Lucy Werner (Lily St. Regis), and Jeffrey B. Duncan (Franklin D. Roosevelt). ANNIE has a book by Thomas Meehan, music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Martin Charnin, and choreography by Liza Gennaro.
