Review: ANNIE Musical Tour @SegerstromArts | #AnnieOnTour #SCFTAANNIE!
I love live musical theater and grew up with the movie adaptation of ANNIE, but I had never seen
it performed on stage. It was an amazing experience for both of us to share together.

We made sure that we arrived an hour before show time so that we could take part in the complimentary lobby activities. First, we found the photo opportunity display on the Orchestra Terrace Level and Isabella made sure to use the thought bubble prop. I thought the display was adorable and the photo made a great keepsake for her first theater experience.

The show itself was fantastic! I was blown away by the talent of the young actors, especially Issie Swickle, the nine-year-old that played Annie. I think my favorite character was Miss Hannigan. I know you’re not supposed to like the villain, but she was hilarious and full of vigor, it was hard not to take a liking to her. Isabella’s favorite characters were Annie and the Boylen Sisters, because she thought they had beautiful voices. I was also very impressed with the flawlessness of the scenery changes. The scenes were gorgeous, and yet, so easily and fluidly changed.

ANNIE is playing at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts now through May 24, 2015. For more information about showtimes, please visit their website at www.scfta.org. Segerstrom Center is located at 600 Town Center Drive in Costa Mesa, California.
