Family Movie Nights are a great way to see top box office movie hits in the comfort of our home without the worry of my children disturbing others. I love it even more when it’s a great family film and there are several ways to turn it into a learning experience for all ages. As a Fox Home Entertainment Insider, we had a great opportunity to celebrate the Blu-ray/DVD release of the latest ICE AGE movie Collision Course. It was a fun way to explore space and the solar system together.
I wanted the children to be excited about our movie night so we turned it into an all day event. Getting them to learn how to use a telescope was a bit of a challenge because they’re not used to adjusting the focus and aiming it where they need it. It was fun nonetheless and all part of the experience. We couldn’t wait to play with the projector so took it inside a closet. Ours from the Smithsonian brand came with 3 interchangeable slide discs and 24 images.
