Date Night: Book of Mormon Musical at Segerstrom Center #scfta

Spread the love

Disclosure: We attended a media preview.

Date night isn’t a common occurrence at our house. Evenings and weekends are usually reserved for helping the kids with homework or attending/coaching sports events. But when I heard that THE BOOK OF MORMON was coming to the Segerstrom Center for the Arts, my husband and I took it as a sign that we needed to break from tradition. Combining my passion for musicals with his love of South Park humor (made famous by Trey Parker and Matt Stone), we were ready for a date night made in heaven.

Book of Mormon Musical: Monica L. Patton, Ryan Bondy & Cody Jamison Strand Photo by Joan MarcusTHE BOOK OF MORMON is the winner of nine Tony Awards. The entire cast was phenomenal and the musical itself, with its clever dialogue, was witty and entertaining. We enjoyed the show and had a hilariously good time.

THE BOOK OF MORMON is now performing at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts until April 3rd, 2016. It’s a fun date night or friend’s night out but not recommended for children under 18 because some of the content may be crude and inappropriate.

Have fun,

-Lisa
