Who doesn’t love mac-and-cheese? It’s a childhood favorite and a great comfort food. A few weeks ago, we took the family to check out Elbows Mac N’ Cheese at their new location in Brea. This is NOT your traditional macaroni and cheese. (See below). We ordered their Cajun Sensation which comes with cheddar cheese, andouille sausage, green and red peppers, celery, garlic, onions, and Cajun seasoning.
They also have salads, melts, and pizza as well as a gluten-free option. Don’t think your kids will try it? Order the Kid’s Meal. You can select either cheddar mac & cheese or a grilled cheese sandwich. It comes with veggie sticks and a cookie.
Need something while you wait, check out their “SIDES” menu. We ordered their Pretzel Bites which comes with fondue and their popular Chipstix.
Chipstix are potatoes with a twist. It’s freshly fried potato chips. We really liked the unique texture and flavor. You’ll have to try it!
For Dessert, we tried their New Orleans-inspired Beignets coated with powdered sugar. It was the perfect treat at the end of our meal. We grew up eating New Orleans’ beignet, and their recipe is pretty close!

We really enjoyed dining at Elbows Mac N’ Cheese. There were a lot of options to choose from in every variety with a build-your-own menu. We also loved that they thought about the kids.
