Kiribati Cultural Display and Pacific Rising.
Pacific Rising is an initiative to help prepare residents of many Pacific Island nations to adapt and thrive in the face of climate change and sea level rise. Many Pacific Islanders will have to find new homes because their islands will be underwater by the end of this century. One of islands most directly affected by sea level rise is Kiribati. Learn about the people and culture of Kiribati and how we can help them and other Pacific Islanders in this crisis. The Aquarium is partnering with Pacific Rising and Conservation International to take a lead role in public education and outreach for the Pacific Rising project. |
