I’ve been hesitant to try Cauliflower Pizza Crust but after having it at California Pizza Kitchen (CPK), I would get it again! My family and I went in for a tasting and were all pleasantly surprised. CPK became the first national restaurant brand to offer Cauliflower Pizza Crust in January 2018. The veggie-based crust has fewer carbs than CPK’s traditional hand-tossed pizza dough and is made with gluten-free ingredients. If you like GF and a healthier crust, you will love it! Their original BBQ Chicken is our favorite, and after changing the crust, it didn’t change the flavor. They’re now available in 7″ lunch sizes and on the kid’s menu.
Now available for Lunch Duos and CPKids!
Cauliflower Pizza Crust can be ordered on any CPKids or Lunch Duo pizza in place of classic hand-tossed dough for an additional $1.50. Lunch Duos are 7″ lunch-sized pizzas paired with a soup or salad. Lunch Duos are available at participating locations Monday through Friday from 11 am – 4 pm. For guests aged 10 years and younger, CPKids meals include a choice of fountain beverage, lemonade, apple juice, milk or chocolate milk.
If you arrive super hungry, other things we tried that we liked were the Spicy Buffalo Cauliflower, Mexican Street Corn, and Hearth-Roasted Halibut. And if you saved the carbs for let’s say dessert, you can’t go wrong with their famous, BUTTER CAKE! It comes out warm and has a side of house-made whipped cream. (Häagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream is optional.) For more information about CPK’s menu or to find a location near you, please visit their website at www.cpk.com.
