Escape to Island Spa Catalina

One of my most favorite thing to do when I’m on vacation is to visit a spa. Traveling is stressful as it is when you’re packing for the whole family, making sure everyone arrives on time, and making sure you don’t forget anything. I like to find time for myself to relax even if it’s for an hour. When were visiting Avalon over spring break, I explored ISLAND SPA CATALINA, and it was amazing!

Recommendations

I was there for about an hour and a half, and although it was wonderful, it wasn’t long enough. What I recommend is getting there at least an hour before your service and just use all the amenities. Pack a bathing suit for the common areas, and you’ll find a nice robe and slippers in your locker. Bring like a gym bag or tote to carry a change of clothes and make-up bag if you want to get ready in the locker rooms. Not getting a service, but want to use the facility? Get a DAY PASS for four hours or a full day (waived when you book a 50 minute service). You’ll need advanced reservation just in case it’s a busy day. One of my favorite thing at the spa is the Eucalyptus spray they have in the showers which is activated by the steam. I purchased one at the spa shop on my way out, and use it at home when I want to create a spa environment. Just spray it on the shower wall and you only need a few sprays. I love it!
