Dominique’s Kitchen Redondo Beach

Spread the love

We were invited to have a family dinner at Dominique’s Kitchen, a Euro-French restaurant. It wasn’t as intimidating as I thought it would be. About a week ago, we ventured out of OC to Redondo Beach. I was a little nervous, because my young kids are wild, but I was reassured that families are welcomed. My first reactions were this place is really trendy and nice inside. (Also, hope my kids don’t break anything). We received a warm greeting from Liza, the owner/Hostess, and she was seen walking around making sure guests were comfortable. She came to our table at least three to five times throughout the evening and was super sweet. Can you spot the comfy couches along the wall below? I couldn’t stop my son from lounging on it and guess what? The owner had it designed that way to help families feel comfortable. After we placed our order, these complimentary white beans with Parmesan came out as one of the appetizers and was actually pretty good. (My picture has been enlarged to show details and should not be scaled).

For appetizers, we ordered our kids favorite, sweet potato fries ($4.99), and I wanted to try their soup of the day – artichokes and peas ($3.99). YUMMY! We enjoyed every bite. For my entree, I ordered another house special – the Chilean Sea bass with summer squash and zucchini flowers. SO GOOD! My husband ordered their grilled steak with parsley, lemon butter, and french fries ($16.99). My kids shared the two cheese macaroni gratin ($8.99). For dessert ($4.99 each), we ordered the Panna Cotta with berry compote (Mmmmmm), and I ordered macaroons for the kids which they loved.

We thought that the ambiance was nice and the prices were reasonable. We also liked that the dress was casual. We were afraid our kids were bothering other guests, but an elderly couple (who were watching us all night) actually came over to help us take this family photo. All-in-all, we had a great experience. Thanks, Dominique’s Kitchen!
