Do you love watching movies and learning about film production? WARNER BROS STUDIO TOUR HOLLYWOOD in Burbank, California is a great way to go behind-the-scenes to do just that and see live sets currently in production for TV plus more! Some of my blogger friends and I were invited to go on the tour last week, and we went to also check out the seasonal HORROR MADE HERE exhibit currently in Stage 48.

The first two hours of the tour is guided. We went up and down different themed-neighborhoods which were designed to be used over and over again. For example, the Seavers House from “Growing Pains” was also the house on “Gremlins.” We also drove by where they were setting up to film “The Big Bang Theory,” an alley where they filmed Spiderman’s famous kissing scene, and that’s to name a few. We learned things like there is no second floor in the homes we see, and they only build when they’re about to film to keep costs down.

WB Studio Tour Hollywood
Batman and Harry Potter fans can go crazy at the Archive Museum where they display costumes and authentic props from all eight of the Batman films and all eight Harry Potter films. Right now you can also get a sneak peak of the new “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” costumes!
Picture Car Vault
We jumped back on the tram to visit the Bat Cave where they housed Batman’s vehicles including the new “Screamer” Batmobile from “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice!”
Studio 48: Script to Screen
The tour ends at Studio 48 where you can enjoy refreshments at “Central Perk” named after the famous television series “Friends”. There’s also a very large gift shop if you want to shop souvenirs before you head back. This part of the tour is self-guided. You could easily spend another hour or two here. This is where we took the photo on the “Friends” couch below! There’s also a green screen area in the back where you can create short videos of yourself doing various things like ride a broom like they do in Harry Potter.
Horror Made Here
There for a limited time is HORROR MADE HERE features Freddy Krueger’s glove, hat and sweater from “Nightmare on Elm Street,” the original cracked bedroom door from “The Exorcist”, the doll from “Annabelle”, the music box from “The Conjuring,” and others! You can also learn more about the art of horror make-up by by Oscar®-winning special effects expert Christien Tinsley. The artist’s display includes the creative process from design, sculpting, and molding to painting and application. But don’t miss the chance to take a photo of your head on a platter for memories.
