TRAVEL TIPS: SnowMobiling with Good Times Adventure | @SnowmobileBreck @GoBreck #BreckBecause #SnowVaca

Spread the love

Welcome to our second installment of our snow vacation in Breckenridge, Colorado. One of the adventures we loved while in Breckenridge was snowmobiling with Good Times Adventure! At times, we felt we were Narnia riding through the woods with a flurry of snow hitting our faces. It was magical and the best part of it all was reaching the Georgia Pass and Continental Divide at 11,585 feet elevation. Here are some highlights… Enjoy!

Hint #2: There is a photo opp right before your tour. Take it! You’ll be in motion most of the time so take the photo! (These are your memories.)

After explaining how to operate the equipment, our instructor (Roll) took us to an open field to practice. Check out the short-clip below. Not bad for a bunch of beginners, right?

We enjoyed all the majestic views of the mountains around us.

We rode between trees in a carved trail through Swan River Valley at reasonable speeds so it was easy to follow each other.

At one point, we stopped to explore an area with a gold miner’s cabin. Moe’s Cabin was built in the late 1800/early 1900’s, and it’s being preserved.

The next leg of our tour was simply amazing. We loved all the scenic views and winter bliss around us. Before we knew it, we were at 11,585 feet above sea level on Georgia Pass where we stood at the Continental Divide. Another great photo op by the way!

Snowmobiling with Good Times Adventure was so much fun. Our group had a BLAST! The weather was a little unpredictable which took time getting used to. (At times it was sunny, then cloudy and snowing at others). Our instructor/tour guide (Roll) kept checking up our kids which was nice. At the end of the tour, we warmed up to complimentary hot chocolate. Next time, we want to try their Dog Sledding!

I’ve shared more things you might want to know below…

HOW TO GET THERE

You can drive your own vehicle or take a shuttle. Note: Pick-up times from Breckenridge are approximately one hour prior to your tour time. Reservations are highly recommended.

DRIVING TIP: If you drive, don’t use GPS to get there! (This is also stated on their website). From downtown Breckenridge, take Park Avenue or Main Street north out of town toward Frisco. For approximately 2.5 miles, turn right onto Tiger Road at the traffic light. Continue about 6 miles until you see a sign for “Good Times”. Parking will be on your left.

WHAT TO WEAR

They recommend dressing in ski wear and in layers, and we agree! As stated above, they offer complimentary snowsuits, boots, helmets, and goggles. You’ll also want to bring gloves, a face-mask or neck warmers, and a backpack. If you forget, they will have some available for purchase.

Please visit their website for pricing and tour package information.
