The Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach California is home to more than 11,000 animals. If you’re still looking for something to do this summer, the Aquarium is offering discounted admission on select nights in August for those who wish to visit during Discounted Summer Late Nights for $14.95 after 5:00 pm. The entire Aquarium except Lorikeet Forest will remain open until 8:00 pm (see available dates below). Guests can explore the new Tentacles and Ink exhibit featuring a day octopus, see the baby seal, and dive into the Aquarium’s 20th anniversary celebration with new films, selfie stations, contests, and more.

Tanaka Farms in Irvine California hosts Melon Tours in the summer (July-August) where they take us on guided wagon rides around their farm, sample fresh summer vegetables along the way, and then we stop to taste our fill of several freshly cut melons including a yellow watermelon. Some of the farm fresh produce that we got to try today were green beans, carrots, grape tomatoes, white corn, cucumbers, Saticoy Melons (looks like a cantaloupe), seedless and seeded watermelons.

On select days through September 3rd, visit the townsfolk of Calico for western adventures that will evolve after you unlock each mission. No two stories will be the same as each guest interaction changes the story-line. Do as many or as little as you want. They will have you running all over town, but you’ll love it because you’re the star of the show!

Right now my kids are enjoying their camping adventures. They think it’s really fun to stay in a tent, go fishing, play in the streams with other children, make bonfire s’mores and walk around with flashlights. We’ve only tried tent camping, and I have heard once you go RV’ing, you might not go back to tent camping.
