CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY Musical Comes to Orange County!

Based on the highly popular 1964 children’s novel written by British author Roald Dahl, the National Tour of CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY will be performing at Segerstrom Hall on May 28 through June 9, 2019!  This award-winning hit is directed by three-time Tony Awards winner Jack O’Brien and featuring Noah Weisberg as the mysterious chocolate maker, Willy Wonka. The title role of Charlie Bucket will be alternated between Henry Boshart (age 10), Collin Jeffery (age 11) and Rueby Wood (age 11). CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY follows the story of the eccentric world-famous chocolate maker, Willy Wonka, and the opening of his mysterious chocolate factory to a select few of golden ticket winners. Young Charlie Bucket is one of the lucky chosen ones to embark on this sweet and magical journey beyond his wildest dreams. The golden ticket winners go on a life-changing journey through the chocolate factory with adventure happening at every turn. Songs from the original film include “Pure Imagination”, “The Candy Man” and “I’ve Got a Golden Ticket”.

Tickets start at $29 and are available online or at the box office. The 2:00 p.m. performance on Saturday, June 8 will include audio description, open captioning and sign-language interpretation.

Performances May 28 – June 9, 2019:

  • Tuesdays through Fridays at 7:30 p.m.
  • Saturdays at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
  • Sundays at 1:00 p.m. & 6:30 p.m.
