Both parks at Disneyland Resort, Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, have made it hard to decide which park to celebrate the season because they are both decked out for the season! (In this post, I will only focus on Disney California Adventure, because there is a lot to cover.) This year Carthay Circle along Buena Vista Street features a 1920s-inspired holiday theme to emulate Los Angeles as it appeared when Walt Disney first moved to California. You will notice that surrounding buildings as well as the 50-foot Christmas Tree features vintage-style ornaments and decorations. For the first time, two Cars Land attractions have been transformed for the holidays – Luigi’s Rollickin’ … Read more

October is National Pizza Month! It has been an eventful year since we became official homeowners, and I have been waiting for the perfect opportunity to throw a party in our clubhouse by the pool. My son’s birthday was around our one year anniversary so I jumped to the occasion. Planning has been stressful, because I waiting too long to purchase items for the theme (Shark Bite). They cleared the items from the shelves after Labor Day, and it was too late to order online to have them delivered without a rush fee. It was totally my fault, because I waited last minute. I eventually went back to the LEGO Theme which I have used before. The only item my son asked for was a LEGO Ninjago Movie Cake with Ninja Lloyd, and I found a local baker that was willing to do it for me. We couldn’t cook at the clubhouse so serving hot food was another issue. FRESH BROTHERS PIZZA delivery came to the rescue, and they made it easy for me. Not only did I not have to leave my party to pick up food nor burden someone else to do it, I didn’t have to worry about heating up food. It was a Win/Win.

Do you love bubble tea, pearl milk teas and fruit tea shops? If you’re from Orange County, these drinks are not foreign to you because they have them everywhere. Boba also known as tapioca balls or pearls has a chewy texture and is often added to a tea-base drink mixed with fruit or milk. DING TEA from Taiwan have more than 300 stores worldwide and they’re starting to expand here in the USA. Their newest location is in Huntington Beach at Goldenwest and Edinger. All the locations are owned and operated independently. Phybie is the franchisee’s daughter and co-owner of the Huntington Beach location. They carry items like Fresh Teas, Flavored Teas, Milk Teas, Fruit Juices, Yakult/Yogurt, Lattes, Coffees, and Hot Drinks. All the drinks are hand-crafted which means they don’t brew the tea leaves until you order.
If you’re in the Los Angeles Area and looking for seafood and casual dining at the Santa Monica Pier, THE ALBRIGHT has a great selection which include Lobster Rolls, Fish & Chips, Market Fish, Live Oysters, Calamari, Shrimp Po’ Boy, Tuna Melts, Burgers, Poke, Ceviche, and much more. They even have a children’s menu. Here are some of the things we got to try. The food is as good as it looks!
It’s Back-To-School and back to meal planning! Planning weekly meals for the family is often challenging for me, because I only want to make one grocery run for the week. I can’t spend too much time putting it together so if I am missing an ingredient for the recipe, I will have to find a new one or improvise. Yesterday, I was running around town with my sister all day and had to rush home to prepare dinner. Luckily, I had items on hand to make two quick and easy dinners from freezer to table in less than 30 minutes. My sister helped, and they turned out great!
We have visited the Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament Show in Buena Park several times now and and every time, we have a blast! The show is fun, family-friendly, and it includes dinner. As we walk through the Court of Flags, they crown us, and we instantly feel like we are in for a great adventure! One of the first things we did upon entry is meet Princess Catalina for a photo opportunity. This varies between the King, a Knight, or Princess. The printed keepsakes are optional to buy and distributed later in the show.
