Looking for unique gifts for loved ones? JORD Watches are hand-crafted wood timepieces. I received one of their beautiful Fieldcrest in Dark Sandalwood to review. It’s really pretty. I like the clean look of this watch, and the silver markers make this an every day watch. (TIP: Make sure when sizing to read the instructions carefully.) JORD watches use 100% natural wood, they don’t treat the wood with toxic chemicals, and they use stainless steel (304) for the clasps. The dark sandalwood is hand-finished and pretreated with tung oils. PLUS you can have them engraved on the box or the back of the watch! More info below about caring for the watch, … Read more

We’re always looking for great options for playdates to meet with friends. The children like to run around, and although they’re more independent, we still want them to be safe. In Orange County, there are so many venues to choose from, and we are blessed with beautiful weather year-round. Playdates usually run about two hours so we don’t feel guilty being indoors. Most recently we were at Scooter’s Jungle, an indoor play arena in Aliso Viejo, for their first annual Halloween Bounce Party. It was pretty fun. It was on a school night but it was in the evening which gave us time to do homework beforehand, play for a few … Read more
Do you still have a ton of candy from Halloween and don’t know what to do with it? DON’T THROW IT OUT! We had a bunch left over as well, because we didn’t have a lot of trick-or-treaters this year. Here’s a fun project great for the whole family, and it’s perfect for the holidays! Most recently we were at Discovery Cube Orange County in Santa Ana working on Gingerbread Houses at a private event. (Yes already!) They wanted us to try building one together as a family and possibly inspire others to enter the annual Gingerbread Competition. The students from the Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) were … Read more
Trampoline parks are not new in Orange County, and they are popular for birthday parties among the children. After been to several, I’ve noticed they’re all similar but have differences too. They all want to be family-friendly, accommodate play dates for small children, host teen nights and fundraiser nights for local schools, and they all want to be everyone’s birthday destination. Let’s take a look at Big Air Trampoline Park in Laguna Hills for example. I believe they were the first ones to open a trampoline park in Orange County. I’m not talking indoor bouncy houses but trampolines. I remember when they first opened in 2013, it was new and exciting. My kids were toddlers and preschoolers at the time, and they couldn’t contain themselves. It felt safe letting them run around, tumble, flip, jump off the walls, and jump into foam pits. Adults are welcome to join but why is it harder for us to climb out of the foam pits? My kids are second and fifth graders now and they still have a blast!

We frequent Knott’s Berry Farm quite often throughout the year. We used to live down Beach Boulevard minutes from Buena Park, California so it made it easy to get to, but now we’re in South County and our kids still asks to go. Having a season passes will definitely make it easier and the best part is – they have the best value! There are NO BLACKOUT dates, and it includes a BONUS DAY for 2017 (Hello, Merry Farm!) Remember the tasty eats during Boysenberry Festival in the Spring? It’s the place to be for all things boysenberry. What about Ghost Town Alive during the Summer when the citizens came … Read more
