Greek Theatre: EEK at the Greek Halloween Event

Halloween is a big month for us. We all over the place, and we loved experiencing every bit of it. As we bid adieu and head into the next holiday season, I’d like to share with you one last Halloween coverage of Eek at the Greek (and a sneak peak inside the VIP Lounge at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles). Families were able to dress up and enjoy activities like costume contests (winners were announced during intermission), cupcake decorating, crafts, treat stations (I didn’t see that many), and photo ops. After the family-friendly activities, we enjoyed a live performance of ghoulish themed hits at the outdoor theater.   Inside the … READ MORE >>

Reptile Zoo Orange County

Last week, we had a play date at The Reptile Zoo. Once we got inside, the kids all gathered around a pond and wanted to feed the animals. For $3.25, you can choose between worms to feed the animals in the pond or a bag of veggies to feed the tortoises. I let my kids decide, and both chose the animals in the pond. You can see a picture of them picking them up with tongs and the animals swimming up to them. You can also feed lettuce to tortoises. Shortly after, we attended an hour presentation in the private Congo Room where Aaron showed us the various animals that … READ MORE >>

OC Fair Views from Sky Ride

While at the Orange County Fair one year, we tried the SKY RIDE. I have always been curious about this ride and thought it would have some amazing views of the festival from above. We had the children with us, but had to ride separately, because it can only seat three and one of the children was afraid to ride. Warning: It is quite high and I wish I had a passenger with me to keep me company and distract me, but the views are spectacular. There are height restrictions and if you have a stroller, you’ll have to do a round-trip or walk all the way back. If you are afraid of heights, this ride is not recommended for you. The annual OC Fair is usually mid-July through mid-August and is located in Costa Mesa, California. www.ocfair.com
