Vbeam uses Pulsed Dye Laser (PDL) technology to deliver an intense but gentle burst of light into the targeted area. It can treat conditions like Rosacea, Sun Spots, Age Spots, Freckles, Port Wine Stains, Facial Veins, Leg Veins, Warts, Scars, and Stretch Marks. PDL treatments have been used since the 1980s for treatment of port wine stains in infants and young children. Swelling, itchiness, and flaking may occur and is considered a normal side effect. The treated area may be itchy afterwards but you can apply hydro-cortisone cream as needed. Results may vary and may require additional treatments for best results. Cost will vary depending on condition and size of area being treated, and most insurance carriers do not cover this procedure. Applying SPF 30+ or sunblock to treated areas is highly recommended.
