Meet Kung Fu Panda characters, learn Dragon Warrior Training, visit with DreamWorks animators, Wishing Trees, red lanterns, and feast at Mr. Ping’s Noodle Shop! Want more? What about TRANSFORMERS’ Megatron speaking in Mandarin, Despicable Me Minions dressed in traditional attire, AND Hello Kitty appearances?!
DreamWorks Kung Fu Panda Experience
Meet them inside the park over at the Universal Plaza, a polygon-shaped piazza that sits at the heart of the theme park. Participation is encouraged by all ages during an interactive martial art show performed by Master Po and friends in Dragon Warrior Training. Discover the 12 zodiac animal signs under a curtain of customary red Chinese lanterns and stunning plum blossom Wishing Trees. It will also feature special demonstrations by veteran DreamWorks animators who will show you how they draw their favorite Kung Fu Panda characters as keepsake mementos. Hungry? Come meet Mr. Ping and try authentic Asian cuisine at DreamWorks Kung Fu Panda’s famous Mr. Ping’s Noodle Shop!
Mandarin-speaking Transformers’ MEGATRON
A returning favorite! Mandarin-speaking Transformers’ MEGATRON, the imposing leader of the DECEPTICONS, returns to greet guests at the entry to the festivities. The 12-foot-tall robot will engage guests in both Mandarin and in real-time conversation. MEGATRON is a resident of Universal Studios Hollywood and is one of the stars of Universal Studios Hollywood’s thrill ride, “Transformers™: The Ride-3D.”

Despicable Me Minion
Illumination’s Minions from Universal Studios Hollywood’s Despicable Me Minion Mayhem ride will join the festivities this year dressed in brightly-colored traditional Lunar New Year attire.
Meet Hello Kitty!
As a complement to this year’s Lunar New Year celebration, Universal Studios Hollywood will welcome Hello Kitty, the beloved global pop icon created by the renowned Japanese company Sanrio! Hello Kitty and her signature red bow will make special appearances to meet guests at the Hello Kitty Shop located within the new Animation Studio Store opening Spring 2018.
