If you’re starting to see pink wipers on vehicles, it’s all for Breast Cancer Awareness month. Every year in October, we start to see a lot of pink to remind us that it affects a lot of women, and we ourselves need to do routine check-ups. Some men get it too. They are saying every 2 minutes a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer AND 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. With alarming numbers like that, we all know at least one person battling breast cancer.
My one friend is one month older than me. She has the best attitude in life, and she inspires everyone that she meets. We try to lift her spirits, but often times, she is the one lifting ours. She has beat cancer four times. It is disheartening every time it comes back, but she’s a warrior for her kids and she is strong-willed. Because she’s so young and because she’s my age, I make it a habit to get a mammogram every year around my birthday.
Pink Wipers!
VIOC has once again partnered with AutoTex PINK to raise funds and increase awareness for National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF). They have donated over $86,500 since 2012! Want to get yours? Moms like me love it especially if we have small children. It’s so much better when we don’t have to take the children out of the car, and the service is speedy fast so no one has time to complain. The wipers are $26.99 each and $53.98 for a pair. I not only feed good that it is going for a great cause but it adds a subtle touch of feminine when I’m on the road. I think they’re super cute!
