REVIEW: The Lone Ranger Movie #TheLoneRanger

We were invited to a presceening of The Lone Ranger movie earlier this week, and we liked it. They had some funny moments (Johnny Depp as Tonto is just hilarious) and some crazy stunts (how the heck did they do that?) At times you wonder if the bad guys will ever get what they deserve and if John Reid (Armie Hammer) will get a clue, because the film felt a bit long (2 hours and 29 minutes). However, when the theme song came on, it had the crowd going. Watch some behind the scenes clips below.

Native
American warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) and man of the law John Reid
(Armie Hammer) are opposites brought together by fate and must join
forces to battle greed and corruption.

About the Film:

From producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Gore Verbinski, the filmmaking team behind the blockbuster “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise, comes Disney/Jerry Bruckheimer Films’ “The Lone Ranger,” a thrilling adventure infused with action and humor, in which the famed masked hero is brought to life through new eyes. Native American warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice—taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.

Here are some from Behind the Scenes for you…

The Lone Ranger – Featurette “The Craft”

The Lone Ranger – Featurette “Hi Yo Silver”

My husband remembers watching it when it was on TV, and he said he
really enjoyed the remake of the film and liked how they modernized the film.
“It’s the adventure of what they find out there and catching the bad
guys.” I found him later re-watching some of the old episodes on YouTube . As for me, I wouldn’t recommend it for small children, because of some violence (rated PG-13), but I am a huge Johnny Depp fan, and I liked seeing him with Armie Hammer in this film. Could this be the beginning of a new franchise and the last time we see John Reid’s face? It opens today nationwide – July 3rd!

Hi-Yo Silver, Away!
