Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony of Titanic The Experience and Bodies… The Exhibition #TitanicBuenaPark #BodiesBuenaPark

In case you’ve missed it, two new exhibits: BODIES… The Exhibition and Titanic the Experience opened in OC last week! I sent my sister Nhi to the ribbon-cutting ceremony and here’s what she reported…

August 1, 2013 marked the grand opening to Buena Park’s newest attractions: Titanic the Experience and Bodies… The Exhibition. In the morning, we enjoyed refreshments from Starbucks while anxiously awaiting the Grand Opening. The attractions are located on Beach Boulevard in the heart of Buena Park’s entertainment district occupies the former Movieland Wax Museum which closed its doors in October 2005.

Guests of honor present at this historic ribbon-cutting ceremony were: Buena Park Mayor Elizabeth Swift, City Manager Jim Vanderpool, District 65 Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva, Deputy Consul General of the British Foreign, Commonwealth office Bernadette Greene, and Premier Exhibition CFO Mike Little.

They made some honorable mentions to those who played an important role to making this event possible with Premier Exhibitions, Inc. (Planning and discussions started in 2007). We also have some insider news below.

NEW JOBS
The attraction provided 90 new jobs to the City of Buena Park and is predicted to bring in more revenue.

INSIDER NEWS: Titanic Dining Experience is coming soon somewhere within two to three months. Premier Exhibitions wanted to differentiate Titanic The Experience from Titanic the Artifact Exhibition. This dining experience will feature costumed-Actors who will be hosting the dinners. Bookings will consist of 20 to 30 people to a dinner.

Doors to both exhibits officially opened to the public at 10:00 am.

Titanic The Experience
In Titanic the Experience, actors in costume retold the story of Titanic, the unsinkable “Ship of Dreams.” Reliving this experience, visitors are able to view hundreds of authentic artifacts from Titanic. One cannot help but to emotionally connect with this haunting yet wonderful experience. In short, it was an overall great experience that will leave you traveling back in time. We liked how they did class comparisons. You can read more about our experience in depth here: /letsplayoc.com//2013/08/titanic-experience-exhibit-buena-park-review.html.

BODIES… The Exhibition
Bodies… The Exhibition was truly fascinating! I strongly recommend this for students or anyone just remotely fascinated with the medical world. In my opinion, no child taking a science course (especially when dealing with the human anatomy) should be deprived of this experience. You have only seen and learned from textbooks, but nothing is more educational than a visual tool as graphic and unique as Bodies… The Exhibition. We took a ton of pictures! Congratulations and Best Wishes to Premier Exhibitions and the City of Buena Park!
