Tour KinderCare’s Open House on August 13th | @KinderCare #TourKinderCare #ad

I think you know that I have a child with special needs. He may look typical, but when he was younger, he had major speech delays. He’s always going to have some delays with social skills as one of them, but it would have been worse if we didn’t do anything about it. When he was younger, as part of our early intervention program, parent training and participation was encouraged. I want to share how easy it is to incorporate learning into every day things. (I still have notes). Here are two.

Our Learning Moments
Today both of my sons were playing with their cars. I had them stop to sort them by colors, then had them point as they counted them aloud for each color. This teaches them exploration and logic by counting objects – so easy. Another easy thing you can do is sing songs like The Alphabet Song, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and Itsy Bitsy Spider daily – it will help them with their memory. Pause at the end of each sentence so they can fill in the blanks.

Now that my youngest is at school age, I’m looking into high quality childcare to get him ready for Kindergarten. KinderCare, who offers high quality early childhood education and childcare, has an Open House on August 13th. Here’s more info for you:

OPEN HOUSE
August 13th

This year’s KinderCare Open House theme is “Learning Moments”. “Learning Moments” are instances when learning happens away from the chalkboard. KinderCare focuses on capturing these moments every day and making every moment a teachable one.

Families nationwide are invited to visit during Open House to meet their local KinderCare teachers and staff and see what quality early childhood education looks like. To locate your local neighborhood center or to schedule a tour, please visit www.kindercare.com.

“Even routine activities in our daily lives can provide educational opportunities for infants and young children.”
