The Broadway hit musical Kinky Boots is coming to Orange County at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts! Featuring original music and lyrics by 80’s pop icon, Cyndi Lauper, this quirky, fun, and sentimental show tells the story of Charlie, a struggling shoe factory owner, who gains the unlikely help of a drag queen, Lola, to help save his family business.

Written by Harvey Fierstein, and inspired by a true story, this funny, passionate, and uplifting show has received rave reviews, and won six Tony awards, including Best Musical in 2013. Directed and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell, Kinky Boots opened on Broadway on April 4, 2013 and continues to play to standing-room-only crowds nightly. The show, which has broken all box office records at the Hirschfeld Theatre, recouped its costs in October 2013, after just 30 weeks on Broadway.
