Most recently we went in for a tasting at Saint Marc Pub-Cafe, Bakery and Cheese Affinage for their new brunch which is offered every day/7 days a week. Located at the new Pacific City Center in Huntington Beach, you can find them on the second floor. Free flowing bread baskets, yummy danishes and croissants baked fresh daily, twisted grapefruits, bacon bar and bites, and cheese boards – I am totally enjoying. Ordering is via iPad.
Appetizers
As mentioned, their free-flowing bread baskets are endless, and there are 11 types of bread. Their Veggie Crudite & Edamame Hummus is not only beautiful, it’s naturally flavorful! I would like more of the hummus please. Other tasty starter options are their Avocado Crostini and their Blue Celery & Walnuts.
Custom Cheese Boards
Cheese Lovers, rejoice! Saint Marc carries anywhere from 100 to 125 cheeses on any given day! You can order one of their pre-selected boards: Americano, Calfornia Dreamin’, Wisconsin Cheesehead, The Frogg, The European Union, OR you custom your own! For example, the custom board that we tried had Barely Buzzed cheddar from the Beehive Cheese Company, Peccorino Brillo Divino (white cheddar from Tuscany bathed in wine for 1 month then aged for 4 months), and Baby Bellatoile (French triple cream).
Kid’s Menu
Kids get to try fun stuff too like Aunt Anne’s Marguerite PB Griller which comes with peanut butter + melted marshmallow, Mac & Cheese which comes with crushed Cheeze-it Crackers (we added bacon on ours), Bacon Wrapped Hot Dog, Grilled Cheese, Corn Dog, Buttered Noodles, Fried Bologna Sandwich, and Crinkle Cut Fries.
Brunch Cocktails include Aperol Spritz, Funkin Bellini, Adult Root Beer Float, fresh Saint Marc Twisted Grapefruit, Funkin Screwdriver, Bloody Mary’s, Jell-O Shots, Tableside Funkin Bellini Bucket and more! Saint Marc also knows wine. They carry draft wines by the ounce with a special handle that is 1/8″ instead of 1/4″ so that the first glass is just as good as the last glass and not sitting in the line and is directly drawn. They keep their wine temperature controlled at 45 degrees. They’re very knowledgeable so you can ask them anything!
