Ever wonder what animals and plants can survive in the desert’s harsh conditions? If you’re passing through Palm Springs, you’ll want to stop to check out THE LIVING DESERT Zoo & Botanical Garden. We were pleasantly surprised how nice the Zoo is there. The Zoo is broken up into two regions – Northern America and Africa. We only had time to visit one of the region so we picked Africa. Miramonte Indian Wells Resort & Spa

Visiting Palm Springs in the summer was hot but fun. We haven’t been to Palm Springs in a while but I remember it being hot and spending a lot of time by the pool. Nighttime swim is fun too. After a month of rushing around for the end of school year, I welcomed a few days lounging poolside. We stayed at Miramonte Resort in Indian Wells. Over Father’s Day weekend, our family took a two hour drive out of OC to Indian Wells, California and checked-in to the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa.
