Show Review: SHANGHAI NIGHTS by Shanghai Acrobats of the Peoples Republic of China
This is a post written by Ryan Doan. Everyone has been to the circus. So what’s so unique about SHANGHAI NIGHTS? It blends a story-telling experience with traditional costume design and feats of acrobatics. The show did a great job incorporating traditional acrobatic sets into the story-line. For displays of strengths and skill, two stand out to me. The strong-man who tossed large vases up in the air and would catch them on the back of his neck/upper back muscles was impressive.
