Pink It Up and Support Breast Cancer Awareness @ Mimi’s Cafe! (PLUS a Giveaway) ENDED

It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Mimi’s Cafe® along with National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) teamed up to raise awareness and funds in their efforts to save lives through early detection and by providing mammograms.

Two “Sparkling Pink” Drink Selections

The other day some of my girlfriends got together for brunch to check out their new “pink” beverages as each “pink” drink will benefit the NBCF. We all chose the “Sparkling Pink Passion Mimosa.” (A non-alcoholic “pink” beverage is also available.)

I love this time of year because they bring back “pumpkin” everything – latte, muffins, cheesecake, and of course pancakes.

We shared a Chocolate Mousse Muffin – Yummmy

Mimi’s Giving Tree

If you donate $1, you get a leaf to inscribe to hang on this growing “Giving Tree”. To thank you, you will also get $30 worth of savings. (See pictures). You can also donate online here and watch the tree grow.

Limited-Edition Pink Ribbon Lapel Pin $5
If you’re feeling generous, for $5 you will get this limited-edition pink ribbon lapel pin to support Breast Cancer Awareness. Wear it proudly all month long or whenever you want people to see your “pink” accessory. You can tell them where you got this beautiful pin, and it’ll remind them about Breast Cancer and prevention.

Mimi’s “Pink it Up” Web App
“Help plant the seed of hope for the future of all women.”
Later, I had fun playing with this web app and it’s now my new profile picture. =) You can too and share it with your friends. http://www.mimispinkitup.com/

“Snap a pic, upload it, then “pink-ify” yourself with a new pink hairdo, stylish pink glasses, or other fun pink accessories.”

“Together, Mimi’s Cafe, our guests and our teammates, have the power to help women NOW within our local communities,” said Mark Mears, President and Chief Concept Officer of Mimi’s Cafe. “Breast cancer is one of the leading causes of death in women, and 1 in 8 will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. And while those statistics are startling and scary, there is hope. When breast cancer is detected early, in the localized stage, the 5-year survival rate is 98.6%. That is why it is important to do our part and support the National Breast Cancer Foundation with Mimi’s Power of Pink.”

Having brunch with my gf Jenn from Toddler Trails. Cheers!
