On August 24th, Leyna and I took a trip to downtown LA for the Lexus Grand Tasting Event at the 4th Annual Los Angeles Food & Wine Festival. Upon entering the event, we were handed wine glasses and let loose to explore two rooms. It was a whirlwind of featured chefs and vineyards from all over the world!
To highlight a few, Executive Chef John Cox from Sierra Mar Restaurant (at Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur), brought with him offerings from the sea.
Mulderbosch Vineyards are from South Africa.
LOVE this dish! Michelin-starred Chef Luigi Fineo, Executive Chef of Riva Bella, shaved black truffles on his Corn Agnolotti in parmesan butter.
Chef Brian Huskey of Formosa Cafe wanted us to try his twist to a Korean BBQ favorite.
On both Saturday and Sunday, Celebrity Cruises hosted a “Modern Luxury Cocktail Lounge” at the Lexus Grand Tasting event. We sampled delicious signature cocktails from NOLET’S Gin: Nolet’s Silver Peach Lemonade and Celebrity Cruises’ Elderflower Blush. There were also promotional offerings, a prize wheel, and giveaways (one was a Caribbean Cruise-for-Two!)
