Segerstrom Center for the Arts kicked off their 30th Anniversary Celebration with the Tour de Force III Dance Spectacular. This program featured performances by the world’s most celebrated dancers and choreographers. It consisted of four repertories, showcasing artistic styles of ballet. Both of my daughters study ballet. Right around the time I learned about this performance, my daughter was preparing to audition for Nutcracker. When they learned about the opportunity to attend Tour de Force III, they were so excited to not only see professional ballet dancers perform, but to see some of the BEST ballet dancers in the world! The dancing was beautiful, graceful and mesmerizing. We enjoyed a nice variety in the styles of dance. The first cast in act one performed a more traditional ballet, where the second cast was very artistic. Both casts in act two were contemporary.
