Oktoberfest is coming to the The Phoenix Club Anaheim weekends starting September 13th! They’re the longest running Oktoberfest in SoCal (51 years!) and known as the most authentic and family-friendly Oktoberfest in SoCal. Traditional Opening Parade and Keg tapping is on Sunday, Sept 15th. Entertainment includes: Live Oohm Pah bands from Germany, Folk dance groups – Die Gemutlichen Schuhplattler, The Youth Dance Group (children ages 3-18 performing traditional folk dances), “Skip the Balloon Man” and “Twist and Shout” variety acts, Free Polka Lessons for all ages every Saturday at 3:00 pm, Daily activities specifically for children include a playground with a bounce house. Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s “The Waffle-inator” Debuts @DisneyD23 #D23Expo

Ringling Bros.: Painting with Circus Clowns and Pachyderms
We were invited to a private “Paint with a Pachyderm” event by Ringling Bros. this morning at Honda Center in Anaheim, CA. It was a lifetime opportunity, so of course we said, “Yes!” After we watched Mabel paint her masterpieces, our kids were able to create their own “elephant-inspired” artwork with their own easels, paint, canvases, and brushes. Ringling Bros. Clowns were also there to help. =) Check out Clown Rosie McQueen‘s Masterpieces Clown Zhang‘s Masterpiece Clown Chris painted a #selfie. Nice work, Chris. Illumination Foundation Carnival for Kids Aug 17th #Fundraiser to end Homelessness in #OC
The Illumination Foundation, a local nonprofit working to end the cycle of homelessness in Orange County, opened a new Children’s Resource Center in Tina Pacific this month. The Tina Pacific neighborhood in Stanton, CA has the highest population of at-risk youth in all of Orange County. The center will give Orange County homeless and at-risk youth a place to go for tutoring and mentorship, therapy, gang intervention, extra-curricular classes and most important of all – meals. By offering proactive crisis prevention and intervention curriculum, Orange County’s most at-risk youth will have a chance at a more promising future and creating generational change.
