Guide to LEGOLAND Water Park + Giveaway!

LEGOLAND® Water Park is located inside the park (additional ticket required) at the north end of LEGOLAND® California adjacent to Fun Town (see map below). This part of the park has been opened since May 2010. It includes Legends of Chima Water Park, Pirate’s Reef, Soak-n-Sail, and new this summer – Surfer’s Cove! Surfer’s Cove features six water slides which extends 100-feet where guests can race each other for the fastest time on Riptide Racers water slides. Look for a LEGO winner’s trophy for a great photo opportunity! There’s a new spray ground called Wipeout Lagoon where multiple water jets splash on and off creating a wave effect. New eatery offers Beach Street Tacos and new seating area. Find new LEGO models throughout in beach themes – LEGO surfers, LEGO seagulls, LEGO crabs, a LEGO lifeguard, and a surfing dog model sits on top of a wave at the peak of Riptide Racers.

UPDATE: We were there June 30th, and Surfers’ Cove was nearly finished.

LEGOLAND Hotel California Resort

When LEGOLAND Hotel first opened in Southern California, we were extremely fortunate to be among their first guests to stay before it opened to the public two days later. It was an incredibly amazing experience, and we still get excited when we stay there. It is a hard call to make to either stay in our room all day or go into the park. Some of the perks for having a hotel stay is you get early access into the park. It feels kinda weird cutting people off a long line of people but it will give you a running start to avoid some of the long wait for rides. … READ MORE >>

LEGO Friends Heartlake City at LEGOLAND California

Most recently we attended a media preview of the new LEGO Friends Heartlake City. Based on the LEGO toy line, LEGO Friends Mia, Emma, Stephanie, Andrea and Olivia bring their world to life at LEGOLAND California Resort in Carlsbad, California! There’s a new stage, carousel, building station, fountain, new restaurants and more! Mia’s Riding Camp is LEGOLAND® California’s first carousel! Designed to accommodate 1,000 people per hour, it consists of 60 horses and two Jeeps and set for three speeds to recreate the feeling of learning how to gallop on a horse. Heartlake Stables is a new shaded LEGO building trough! Heartlake Fountain is a large fountain in the shape of a heart located in the center of Heartlake City. It’s a fun spot to cool off and splash around. Friends Forever Stage is home to the new “LEGO® Friends to The Rescue” show! With 5-6 performances per day (depending on park hours), the stage rotates to provide different backdrops for different live shows. TIP: Stop by the Meet and Greet in between the shows to meet the LEGO friends!

Birthday Itinerary for LEGOLAND California | LEGO CHIMA Water Park | LEGOLAND Hotel

This year, we wanted to gift our son an experience so we celebrated his 5th birthday with a LEGOLAND Adventure. Did you know that LEGOLAND Hotel guests receive a 30 minute head start into the amusement park? This is especially important if you plan to maximize your day and beat the crowds. Because we were staying only one night, we decided to drive down early Saturday morning to make it in time for early park access.
