Sensory-Friendly Performance Series. These shows are designed for families with autism or sensory sensitivity. Here’s what it means: There will be a reduction of sound levels (particularly loud or startling sounds.) There will be a reduction of overwhelming stage lighting. There will be low ambient lighting in the theater throughout the performance so patrons are able to see should they need to move around or exit the theater. PEKING DREAMS Performed by Beijing’s National Circus and Acrobats of the People’s Republic of China @SegerstromArts #SCFTA

Peking, today known as Beijing, is the capital of the People’s Republic of China. The city contains rich cultural history and heritage spanning over 1,000 years which includes the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace and the Temple of Heaven. Acrobatic art, Chinese circus, and Peking Opera are cultural treasures that are beloved by the people of Peking. Peking Dreams, performed by Beijing’s National Circus and Acrobats of the People’s Republic of China, will incorporate these elements (acrobatics, Chinese circus, and Peking Opera). Join them at the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall at Segerstrom Centerin Costa Mesa this Saturday, September 26th!
